A LITERARY PITCH EVENT WHERE WRITERS PITCH THEIR BOOKS AS MOVIE POSTERS

#POSTERPIT

#PosterPit is an annual pitch event that takes place on Twitter, Instagram, and BlueSky on the third Saturday of April each year. It was created to connect query-manuscripts with professionals in the publishing industry, but it is also open to writers working on WIPs in their drafting stages as well as authors with published works. Created by Mylee J. Miller in a promotional post for her novel, it has expanded into a multi-host, cross-platform event!

JOHN W. TREVINO

John W. Treviño still doesn't know how he got here: nothing in his life prepared him to be a writer. He works in insurance regulation, praying that no one figures out his middle name; he once accidentally lit a workplace on fire by misusing a toaster; and he studied English murderers and their executions in school. John W. is not often invited to parties.

LINDSAY VENA

Lindsay Vena wrote her first story at six years old, so it was to no one’s surprise when she realized she wanted to pursue a career in writing. She likes to dip her toes into different genres, but with her current focus on her co-authored project ODE, she has fully embraced its fantasy and world building. She completed her BA in English & Creative Writing in 2023 at Seton Hall University, where she was awarded the South Wind Thesis Prize in Creative Writing for her story collection. Lindsay currently teaches Creative Writing to elementary and middle school students in Philadelphia, PA.

MARCELA MARQUEZ

Marcela is from a country called Miami. Just kidding. But seriously, she totally thinks her home city in FL, U.S should be its own country. She grew up in a melting pot of diversity, mainly Latine culture. Spanglish is her preferred language. When she's not writing fantasy books, she's daydreaming about it. She's represented by Tianna Kelly at Neighborhood Literary, a feat she still can't explain. Her dogs bully her. Her job as a financial crimes investigator fulfills her. Beer is her passion.
